This 27 page plan shows the step by step process for building this DIY Entertainment Center complete with cut list, plywood cut diagram, and computer drawn graphics. The project is built to accommodate a TV approx 60″ wide or smaller (not a 60″ TV, but a TV that’s OVERALL SIZE is 60″ wide or smaller…the TV shown is a 65″ TV). The project is also built in three pieces to make it easier to move from your shop to its final destination.
Overall size of the project may vary slightly based on the size crown molding you choose, but approx overall size is 7′ 3″ tall, 9′ 4″ wide, and 19 3/4″ deep.
This plan uses simple pocket hole joinery so that it’s attainable for all skill levels. The doors can be assembled with pocket holes OR dowels. There is a separate tutorial for how to assemble the doors in this blog post:
This entertainment center is classy and traditional and easy to build with standard construction lumber and plywood.
